Olive Island

Initially inspired by a river delta, a large amount of dark walnut wood was used for the first time in this model. This enabled a particularly strong contrast to be achieved, which ensures that the olive stands out from the walnut wood like individual islands. The entire structure and the strange design were first roughly sketched and finally digitally adapted and refined in a 3D construction. The subsequent production consisted of only eight large, each 48mm thick individual pieces, which were precisely matched to each other. With one exception, this specimen is therefore not an inlay work, but continuous solid wood pieces.
